We have a weekend of glorious inner gazing ahead of us.
On Friday we will all enjoy the folk noir nectars of Vancouver’s Paul Stewart in the intimacy of our own Elevation Room! Congregations, the Philip Dickau & David Ferris collaboration that eventually grew into the now active Taiwan will be playing it’s last show. Brody Irvine of the wildly popular Wool On Wolves will be debuting his solo material as Our Douglas Fur, a distilled folk experience you will not want to miss, and your own Elevation Room venue manager, Joe Gurba, will be reading a hand full of new and old poems. More info here.
On Saturday we have one of the biggest rising alt-folk names in the east making it all the way back to Edmonton: Pat Lepoidevin is a looping peddle one man band that will take you on a vocal ride you would have never expected. He is joined by the hushed tones and layered instrumentation of post folk practitioners Broken Clouds along side the iridescent voice of the lovely Molly Little. This show is a surefire winner!
